Dr. Richard Kehoe is a second generation chiropractor. His family has provided chiropractic care to the Monterey Peninsula since 1964. Growing up in a chiropractic family taught Dr. Kehoe to respect the body’s natural ability to heal, which motivated him to pursue an education in chiropractic.
After completing undergraduate work at San Diego and San Francisco State Universities, Dr. Kehoe studied at the Palmer College of Chiropractic for four years. He completed his doctorate in 1981.
Dr. Kehoe then accepted a staff position at the Static Instituto Di Chiroterapia E Medicina Manuale in Milan, Italy. The Static Institute is the largest chiropractic/medical integrated clinic in the world. While there Dr. Kehoe had the opportunity to treat a vast assortment of musculoskeletal conditions. He worked alongside orthopedic specialists, radiologists, and physical therapists.

In 1983, Dr. Kehoe joined his father at Kehoe Chiropractic, where they practiced together for over 15 years. His father taught chiropractic adjustment techniques at the Palmer College, making him an exceptional mentor. During those six years on the Palmer faculty, Dr. Joseph Kehoe had the opportunity to work with B.J. Palmer. Dr. Palmer was the son of the founder of chiropractic and is the most influential person in chiropractic history. This continuum of experience is passed on to Dr. Richard Kehoe.
Community involvement is an important part of Dr. Kehoe’s life. He has served on numerous boards, including the Friends of the Monterey Institute of International Studies, the Football Hall of Fame Educational Foundation, the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Vine, and the Carmel Rotary Club. He has volunteered coaching youth sports in baseball, basketball, and soccer.
Dr. Kehoe’s interests include natural health care, sports, food, and wine. He is married to Rachael and together they have two children, Kathleen and William.
